Many homebuyers think building a home can be difficult or stressful. At James Edward Builders, we make the process simple and stress-free. We have a proven process and experienced team in place to do things the James Edward Builders way. What we like to tell our customers is “We’ve done this a few hundred times, so it’s ok if you haven’t”. We are here to guide you through each step. The James Edward Builders Team will be with you from contract to design, to drafting, to construction, and even through the warranty process. We have qualified experts in place to guide you and answer any questions. Here is a summary of each step and what to expect when building with James Edward Builders:
Step One –Touring Our Homes and Discussing Layout Ideas & Must Haves
We spend time with you discussing your wants and must haves along with your budget. This gives us the needed information when we sit down with you and go over your new home layout and final design.
Step Two – Evaluate your Budget
We discuss which of our preferred lenders would best fit your specific financial needs.
At James Edward Builders, we are careful not to get you excited about what you can’t afford. We get you excited about what you can afford!!
Step Three – Homesite Acquisition
At James Edward Builders, we have our own homesites that may fit your lifestyle, or we can assist you in finding a homesite of your liking. Of course, if you already own a site, we will be happy to design and build on your land.
Step Four – Purchase Agreement
We will evaluate and go over the most important features you prefer on the interior and exterior of your home in detail. After we have gathered all information needed, we present you the purchase agreement and go over any questions. Once approval and sign off is complete, the bank will secure and start the finance process for us to build your custom home.
Step Five – Building
Once financing is secured and permits are received, it’s time to break ground and get the fun started. You will receive a phone call from your Construction Manager to introduce himself to you. He will stay in contact with you throughout the process with progress updates via email, text, or phone call, whichever you prefer. Next, Selections begin. At James Edward Builders, our team prides themselves on making the selection process as fun and professional as possible!
Step Six – Move-In
Once your home is finished, you will begin your warranty period and have direct access via phone or email to our warranty department. In your Homeowner’s Manual, there are emergency phone numbers if you need questions answered or help during non-business hours. Once again, your overall experience with James Edward Builders continues after you occupy your new Custom Designed Home!
